SKIN CARE PRODUCT for PROFESSIONALS
Here Is What Health Care Workers Have to Say
|
SCHOOL NURSE NEWS
February, 2004

Unlike traditional moisturizers, shielding lotions help keep out irritants such as latex allergens and anti-bacterial soaps, while locking the skin's natural moisture. Although less than 1% of the general population is
allergic to latex, the percentage among healthcare workers is much higher – between 17 and 25%, according to the National Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC). Traditional moisturizers help to a degree, but often get washed off leaving hands dry, inflexible, or even in pain during hands-on nursing. Gloves In A Bottle acts as a barrier to skin irritants and conserves the body's own moisture.

Reevaluating Hand Creams and Gloves
One interesting experiment (not conducted by Cohen et al) was the testing of
Gloves In A Bottle (GIAB, Glendale, CA), a liquid latex-like cream, which is rubbed on to the hands and allowed to dry. This creates
a thin latex coating (glove) which tested (0 to 30K ohms), an amount equivalent to most other latex glove products tested.

Gloves
In A Bottle is more than just a beauty
product. Since it works with the body's own
defenses, it also addresses common
dermatological health problems .
My patients have reported very good
experiences using the product for dry
skin care. Some patients have had
hyperkeratosis, psoriasis and eczema. We
have seen it clear up the redness, soreness
and cracking.

Due to my job skin on my hands are dry and reddened. I get contact dermatitis from the frequent hand washing. On a busy night my hands can be raw. Last year it was really embarrassing when I left a blood trickle on my charting because of cracked fingers. Your product turned dry skin on my hands into normal. I am writing on behalf of the other nurses I work with. I am not alone with my hand condition. Nurses in my unit and on the med-surg floors have also complained.

I purchased Gloves In A Bottle because I was looking for a product that would reduce the symptoms of contact dermatitis from irritants such as soap or powder from washing your hands and latex glove wear. I have not found a skin care treatment that works as well as Gloves In A Bottle. I want to give my unreserved endorsement of your product.

Gloves In A Bottle has been a total life-saver for me. Upon the beginning use of your skin care product over a year ago, I have had a total remission of the latex dermatitis that was plaguing me until that time. Upon continuous use of the lotion, I have had no reoccurrence of the skin allergy and will be forever grateful for your product.

Gloves In A Bottle forms a protective barrier on the skin and keeps out irritants and chemicals. It also allows the natural oils and moisture to remain in the skin so it can heal better. It is a big advantage that shielding lotions are light and go on without a greasy mess. When your skin gets dry and itchy you know that the protective outer layer of skin has been stripped away.
The artificial moisturizers in conventional creams and lotions can send a signal to the moisture producing parts of your skin that enough moisture is present. Your skin then makes less of the natural moisture needed to resolve a dry skin problem. Skincare with a shielding lotion helps protect your own natural oils and moisture in the skin, so it heals faster.

We recommend Gloves In A Bottle dry skin treatment to our patients and we have typically seen them ask for refills. Often our best indicator that the lotion worked effectively is the fact that they did not come back to the office for another visit - the condition cleared right up.

We have been very excited and happy with the results using "Gloves In A Bottle" shielding lotion. We feel it is one of the best moisturizing protective creams on the market. I have no reservations in prescribing "Gloves In A Bottle" dry skin treatment to patients. I also recommend it to people without a hand condition who want to protect their hands and keep them soft and supple.

I wanted to contact you to inform you of how pleased I am with the protection "Gloves In A Bottle" skin care treatment has provided. I am a nurse of 26 years and have used NUMEROUS dry skin care products for my very sensitive skin and "Gloves In A Bottle" by far has helped my hands through the multiple washings, dry winter periods, cracked fingers, etc. the best.
